In 2024 I started my PhD project “Counting the Bees: A Data-Driven Investigation Into Early Modern British Thought (1605-1776)”, under supervision of Arianna Betti & Hein van den Berg at the ILLC/UvA. In this project, I apply computational tools to a vast, machine-readable corpus of Early Modern British logic, philosophy, and science to investigate the compatibility of the axiomatic ideal of science with experimental science.
My main research interests are the history of early modern science and philosophy, contemporary philosophy of language and epistemology, and data-driven methodology in the humanities.
